Biography

Grace has a MA in Experimental Animation from the Royal College of Art, she graduated in 2020. Her work in response to the climate crisis was showcased at the Victoria and Albert Museum for the London Design Festival 2021, chosen by the V&A Youth Collective.

Grace’s first animated short A Sloborious Tale of Pupa was screened at the Whitechapel Gallery after graduating from BA Performance Design and Practice at Central Saint Martins in 2014. Drawn to performance design from aspirations to become a production designer following experience in film and television art departments from the age of fifteen; working on set and making models for productions such as Downton Abbey.

In 2016 Grace was awarded the Sally Goldsworthy Bursary Prize by Discover Children's Story Centre for her practice led by imagination and hand crafted world building; nominated by award winning author, artist and educator Sita Brahmachari, with whom she has grown a symbiotic kinship after years of collaboration.

Grace facilitates art and animation workshops across the UK with diverse groups, collaborating across disciplines with scientists and social enterprise as well as directing dancers and musicians. In 2019 Red List Mother was exhibited at Glastonbury Festival; a large-scale sculpture built with support from The Park design team, for whom she has worked for consecutive years.

In 2018 she co-curated Nucleations: Laid of the Gravid with artist Rhiane Aurielle, exhibiting her work in Deptford, London which led her to be chosen as an exhibiting artist at Cyclic Matter | Matéria Cíclica; a not-for-profit organisation in the West Coast of Portugal which provides platforms, tools and strategies for a transition towards a more ecocentric culture.
