Consequences by Radical Ritual

“A MONUMENTAL NEW GIANT HAS RISEN FROM THE IMAGINATION
OF OVER 200 PEOPLE FROM SOMERSET AND DORSET.

As featured on the BBC and The Guardian.

“Co-created from landscape, story and ritual, the Radical Ritual Consequences Giant stood alongside the Cerne Abbas Giant – a powerful new figure woven from the creativity of community.”

A Nature Calling commission, produced by Activate Arts and Dorset National Landscapes.

As lead artist on the Consequences Project, I collaborated closely with artistic director Becca Gill from the very beginning; imagining giants, climbing hills, and finding creative solutions to the giant-scale challenges of fabricating the final artwork. I developed the framework for the piece through a digital collage, co-devised creative workshops with award-winning children’s author Sita Brahmachari, and made natural art materials from the local landscape for participants to use during the workshops.
